I can offer no “proof” of God, nor can I prove that spirituality is anything more than a figment of our imaginations. But look at it this way: If you value spirituality, what do you have to lose? About the Author
Raymond Lloyd Richmond, Ph.D. holds his doctorate in clinical psychology and is licensed as a psychologist (PSY 13274) in the state of California. Previous to his doctoral degree he earned an M.A. in religious studies, an M.S.E. in counseling, and an M.S. in clinical psychology. He completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Health Psychology. During the course of his clinical education he received training in Lacanian psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy, hypnosis, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. His clinical experience encompasses crisis intervention; treatment for childhood emotional, physical, and sexual abuse; trauma and PTSD evaluation and treatment; and treatment of psychotic, mood, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Richmond has written and maintains a public-service website about the practice of clinical psychology; the website has no user fees or advertising.

What a gift this book is!

Dr. Richmond has written a book that gets to the basic understanding of psychology AS IT RELATES TO THE CLIENT. How rare and wonderful.
The book itself is broken down into sections easy enough to read and absorb before moving on. There are also gems of wisdom that touch the adult as well as the inner child of the reader.
This book has given me a better understanding (and higher tolerance) of myself and my past. More importantly, it has shown me that there is hope for my future. --I don't need to stay in the same emotional place I have been for the bulk of my life.
If you are serious about learning more about yourself, interested in the psychology process, or have questions about the process, this book is worth ordering and reading. It will change you if you let it.

No Home Should Be Without This Book!

Dr. Richmond truly gets to the deep longings in the recesses of the heart by sharing insights gleaned from his practice of psychology. SPOT ON, to use contemporary words for contemporary reasons we act the way we do as parents, as spouses, as individuals climbing our way up the mountain of holiness. Not a quick read, but writing that engages one's heart and soul, along with one's intellect. It is an excellent book to give our adult children for a better understanding of themselves and for their own spiritual growth. Thank you, Dr. Richmond, and God bless you for your outstanding book!
